The patrol vessel of Hiu Macan Tutul 02 is own by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP). During the 2026 dry-docking period, work was planned to adjust the position of the starboard main engine including Chockfast material because shaft misalignment identified during the previous 2023 dry-docking measurements. This work accounts for 8.43% of the 2026 docking project total cost. To ensure the work meets its right on target, an study is required to inform decisions regarding the continuation of this work. This necessitates re-checking and re-measuring the propulsion system's alignment. This study aimed to provide a basis for deciding whether to continue the adjust position of starboard main engine. A descriptive-comparative method was employed, utilizing quantitative data on bearing clearance, shaft alignment, V-bracket and stern tube alignment, and shaft deflection. A comparison of the 2023 and 2026 data revealed that alignment measurements involving the front shaft bearing more accurate and better results, as well as shaft deflection remained within normal limits following the replacement of the starboard shaft's forward bearing. Based on these findings, plan for adjustment work the starboard main engine position can be cancelled, so this work cost can be reallocated to other work.
