Abstract

The operational performance of fisheries ports encompasses all activities and tasks at the port, focusing on serving the community users. This study evaluates the operational performance of PPI Kasiwa in Mamuju by measuring and analyzing performance through assessment parameters. The assessment parameters aim to enhance the port's class and operations to support optimal services. The research method involves direct observation of all activities at PPI Kasiwa. Analysis begins with determining performance parameters, success values, and achievement values, followed by evaluating operational performance. Results show that the operational performance of PPI Kasiwa is 67%, categorized as good (≥ 50% - < 80%). Good scores are derived from catch production, ice and fuel services, marketing facilities, administrative offices, and amenities like canteens, guard posts, and prayer rooms. The performance decline is due to the lack of processing industry facilities, vessel and gear repair facilities, spare parts supply, clinics, and limited clean water services. The low frequency of vessel visits for loading and unloading and the inadequate condition of lodging facilities also affect performance.
