This study aims to analyze human resource management (HR) in maritime education to improve professional competence in the era of technological disruption, focusing on the Level of Technological Readiness (TKT) in maritime education institutions in Indonesia. The method used was quantitative, with a survey of 150 respondents from five maritime educational institutions. Data was collected through questionnaires that measured perceptions of technological readiness, professional competence, and human resource management. The results showed that 65% of respondents felt that maritime education in Indonesia was not fully prepared to face technological disruption, with an average TKT of 3.2, which indicated technological readiness at the initial development level. In addition, 72% of respondents assessed that improving professional competence through technology can improve the quality of human resources in the maritime sector. Previous research reviews have shown a gap between the needs of the maritime industry and the capacity of digitally trained human resources. The study also highlights that many maritime educational institutions still use traditional learning methods that cannot accommodate rapid technological developments. As a state-of-the-art, this study adds insight into the importance of integrating technology in maritime education to improve the readiness and quality of maritime human resources in Indonesia. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to formulating policies that support the improvement of professional competence through technology in the maritime education sector.
