Shipping safety is fulfilling safety and security requirements related to transportation in waters, ports, and maritime environments. Ship accidents have shown that most involve human error. The shipping industry has focused on improving ship and platform structures and the reliability of equipment systems to reduce casualties and increase efficiency and productivity. This study aims to analyze the influence of human factors on shipping safety. The research method uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study is the crew working at PT. Surabaya Passenger Ship Cruise. The non-probability sampling technique is used on each fleet owned. The data collection method in this study is carried out, namely data collected directly by distributing questionnaires to the crew. This questionnaire will be given to 120 crew members working on passenger ships. The result of this study is that human factors have a significant influence on shipping safety. Human factors that affect shipping safety can be considered by shipping companies, especially passenger ship companies.
