Abstract

Better control and supervision of the entire procurement process and improved understanding and skills in using the system can strengthen the implementation of E-Procurement and maximize its benefits for the institution. This study aims to analyze how E-Procurement can enhance operational cost efficiency, how E-Procurement can be optimized to improve operational cost efficiency in the procurement of goods and services, and the impact of E-Procurement on operational performance and cost management within a company. E-Procurement replaces manual procurement systems, enabling reductions in time and costs at every stage, from requisition to payment. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research method. One of the main advantages of E-Procurement is the reduction of transaction costs due to the elimination of physical communication and face-to-face meetings with suppliers. Additionally, price transparency within the E-Procurement system fosters competition among suppliers, allowing companies to secure the best prices and reduce procurement costs. The implementation of E-Procurement also facilitates budget management by enabling more accurate and real-time expenditure monitoring. An integrated system allows companies to oversee the entire procurement process, ensuring purchases align with the budget and preventing waste. This study demonstrates that E-Procurement not only streamlines the procurement process but also optimizes resource utilization, enhances operational cost efficiency, and provides better control over expenditures. Overall, E-Procurement has a significant positive impact on operational performance and cost management, improving efficiency, transparency, and cost savings.
