This paper aims to determine the ship berthing process, obstacles during the berthing process, and efforts to overcome obstacles in the ship berthing process agented by PT. Adhigana Pratama Mulya. At Kabil Port. This study uses a qualitative approach to understand and describe the ship berthing process. It also focuses on collecting narrative and descriptive data. The ship berthing process at Kabil Port requires intensive coordination between various parties to ensure smooth operations. The stages from agent appointment to ship departure involves careful administrative, technical, and supervisory steps, including document checks, pilot boarding, and loading or unloading activities. Although this procedure has been well designed, various obstacles interfere with the smooth berthing process, such as full docks, lack of pilot boats and tugboats, and a limited number of agent officers, which affect service efficiency and external factors such as bad weather. Steps can be taken to improve coordination with port authorities, utilize digital technology, add workers, and optimize pilot boat and tugboat services. With a more integrated management system and adaptation to weather conditions, operational efficiency can be improved, reducing the risk of delays and improving safety and quality of service.
